Here you go... Fleet Street, 1924, one of the first color photographs of Britain.

The clock says "The Telegraph", and "The Daily Telegraph" is a publication that moved to Fleet Street in 1882... so this could be Fleet Street. I couldn't find any pictures that matched properly, though. There definitely is and was a clock outside of The Telegraph, but none of the pictures I found looked like the clock in this picture.

Wouldn't it be amazing to go back in time and see that... What street is that?

Not sure what street it is but if you look closely there are three 'To Let' signs - maybe 1930's middle of the depression? Although I thought that was more severe in thge US.....

I think that the UK was hit pretty hard during that period, as there was Global depression.

So at least the "western" countries were hit hard, as they have been these last few years.

Just one of the dangers of being a financial innovator and forerunner I guess. Those coming behind into similar markets can learn from the mistakes of those that went ahead.
