Is this a deer or a moose?
This is the badge for Watford, a football club in the second tier of English football.
My mate says its a moose, as these were kept by a king once in local parkland, but I dont think there have ever been moose wild in the UK!

It looks like a Moose, so I don't think that you can argue with that. It is a Moose. My theory being that if I draw a goat but it comes out looking exactly like a Penguin, when someone looks at it says "It's a Penguin", you can't rightly say, "yes, it looks like a penguin but it is in fact a goat", any more that you can say "My drawing of a house is in fact, a boat". It is what it looks like. Watford is in Hertfordshire however, who's emblem has Harts (Deer) on it. So who knows what the intention of the designer was. It doesn't change the fact that what's drawn is a Moose, not a Deer. The very distinctive Antlers and long, wide nose, define it as a Moose. Login to reply to comments...

The intention of the designer was for it to be a deer, because Watford FC used to be the only football club in Hertfordshire. However, no deer have antlers like that; they are much more similar to the antlers of a moose. Taking either position on what it is is defensible. Login to reply to comments... |

It's got very weird freaky, almost human "stoned" eyes... Login to reply to comments... |

Who cares? I think Luton shot all the Harts. So you just eat cats now. Login to reply to comments... |
